LARA ALCANTARA LANSBERG

The Origin
In Latin America, we say ella no rompe un plato, she doesn’t break a plate. It means someone is too good, too careful, too afraid of doing harm to ever do anything wrong. For most of my life, I lived inside that saying without knowing it.
The day I finally wrote something true on a plate and broke it, deliberately, with my hands, something deep inside changed.
I put it back together with gold. I kept I felt the final release I absolutely needed and was looking for.
That became this.
What Happens in a session
Each session is intimate, eight to ten people, two and a half to three hours. I a place you can feel safe and chosen meticulously.
We will go through a meditation, You will then journal it on a vintage ceramic plate. Something you have been holding in your most deep spaces. something maybe you have never admitted before to yourself.
You will break it. intentionally with permission from yourself, then you will take the pieces and reconstruct it into a beautiful piece of art that you will take home. you will transform it into something beautiful, you will feel that you are honoring your broken pieces.
it worked for me, its the only reason I do this ritual experience. I believe everyone should do this, everyone should go through the intentional act of breaking their words on something. change your way of thought, and boost the nervous system to take it out with your body and your soul.
This is not art therapy. It is not a wellness workshop. It is a structured ritual that uses
physical material to do something that words alone rarely manage.
Who is This for
In my experience I have worked with people who are carrying something they haven’t been able to set down, that are in the middle of a change they didn’t entirely choose. People who have tried talking about it and found that talking only goes so far. I have worked with People going through grief, breakups, major personal changes like divorce, a lay off, a major burnout. I have seen that having any artistic experience is absolutely not necessary. You do not need to be an artist. You won't really know what you are writing until you come in and let go and are willing to feel free to write anything they want. You only need to be willing to be in the room. To give yourself permission to release.
Sessions run approximately 2.5 hours to three. Eight to ten participants. All materials included.
You leave with your finished piece, framed.
